Return to In-Person Learning Update
We will be returning to school on January 11th. We are so excited about seeing the students again. We wanted to make sure that families and students are aware of some scheduling changes that have been made.
All safety procedures and requirements have not changed. Students still need to wear masks and follow our building and bus guidelines for distancing.
Our most noticeable change is our schedule. CJHS is moving to a traditional block schedule and attending every day of the week. This includes Friday. We will still dismiss for the day at 11:45. Block scheduling means we will have A days and B days with certain class periods attended on each day. Our bell schedule would look like this:

January 11th would be an A Day, the 12th a B Day, the 13th and A Day and so on. This type of scheduling comes with some advantages. Students will be in class longer to maximize instruction. We are also going to bring our first period back and use it for a Study Skills class. This will help us catch up with learning we have missed and provide extra help for those who need it. You will see this class on your child's schedule in place of the exploratory they might have requested. They can check their schedule on Student 360 (Parent Portal) to see what room they need to go to. We will also be prepared to tell them when they arrive. We will also help them get used to knowing which days are A days and B days. This will be a bit of an adjustment, but we can get them there.
